Fern Cheong has been practising as an Architect since she graduated in 1988.

She worked for various renowned architectural practices, including Hoadley Budge Olphert, Woods Bagot, The Buchan Group and the developer Austexx across several offices in New Zealand and Australia until 2007 when she set up her own company.

Her work focuses on commercial, retail, hospitality buildings and high end interior fitouts.

Today she works with a team of collaborators including other architects, design professionals and building specialists, with whom she tackles varying scales and typologies of projects according to clients' briefing requirements.

Her work is characterised by the search and embodiment between different disciplines, resulting in a hybrid inter-disciplinary approach with an uncompromising and vigorous process to delivering a simple and yet elegant solution in a timely and cost-effective manner to the clients.
