Lyons has been the recipient of numerous architectural awards including the Victorian Architectural Medal, national design awards and national sustainability awards. In June 2000 Lyons represented Australia at the 7th International Architecture Biennale in Venice.

The firm's work has been published extensively in national and international books and journals including the A-Z of Modern Architecture, Phaidon World Atlas of Contemporary Architecture, Architectural Design, Architecture Australia, Architectural Review, Australian Architecture Now, Monument and Artlink.

Lyons and the senior team maintain an active involvement in national and international architectural discourse through teaching, writing and lecturing. Lyons staff currently lecture and teach at the University of Melbourne, RMIT University and Monash University in Melbourne.
